DAC's for IEMs and desktop AMPs for Dongles & IEMs

Hello Gentlemen,

Looking for some ideas to expand my current experience...soooo far I'm currently working with....

PS200 stacked w/ L30 II amp
Zen Dac Sig V2 w/ 789 THX
IFI black label micro DSD w/ RHNP

Using 3.5mm out from the dongles (Aune Yuki and Jody Gigabyte) to 3.5mm in to the back of the RNHP it sounds just absolutely amazing and mind blowing.......... Does anyone know how to replicate this amazing experience? In any other platform or did I discovery the rosetta stone?

Hi @AtticReclus3! Welcome to ASR.

I'd buy a basic multimeter to match volume levels precisely between stacks.

That, plus blind listening conditions will likely expose no audible differences between setups, allowing you to focus on what matters: headphones, EQ, and music

The RHNP is known for distorting very early on with low-impedance headphones.
This sounds different, of course, and some people prefer this kind of distortion and overemphasis of the higher frequency ranges.

Try the song "Passion and Pride" by Friedemann (studio recording, not a live version) and see if it sounds as pleasant and clean with the dongle and RHNP at higher and the same volume as it does with other combos, e.g., the PS200 with the L30 II.
