New version still uses same low end chips, but fixes dithering which was previously not implemented.
There is actually oversampling via their custom 'combo' filter (which is nothing special...)

Ok gotcha it was dithering not OS I knew it was something.

If anyone says DACs can't sound bad I challenge them to track down the old Paradisea+ from MHDT Labs. It is no longer available but the company still exists:

I can't speak to their current products but the Paradisea+ is the worst sounding peice of audio gear I have ever owned and the first time I ever really became skeptical of claims from "experts" since plenty of people on Head-Fi claimed these non-oversamping tube DACs were the greatest thing since sliced bread.
