So I stole the following devices from my father:
1. PowerAmp (Kenwood KM-X1000)
2. Pair of B&W 601
Currently I have a generic DAC that I bought from AliExpress for 8€ and a few albums .FLAC that I have in my NAS and stream through my TV.
Currently looking for one of the following:
1. DAC only - If the price for an equivalent streamer is more than 40€ ;
2. Streamer / DAC - (like the WIIM Pro / Plus)
MUST HAVE: volume control through remote - Since the PowerAmp doesn't have it
Essentially, I’m debating between a DAC or a Wiim Pro Plus (can get it used for 175€), it would be nice to have the ability to stream from my NAS without the need of the TV, but not a dealbreaker if the quality would be different. Which one do you recommend under 250€?
Before you ask, I cannot install an AVR because they’re too big and my wife doesn’t let me install it (we have a small home).
