DAC recommendation

Hello

I need to find a new DAC to replace a SMSL D300 which has developed a fault.
Output: XLR to Genelec 8020 powered speakers, not interested in headphones
Input: Optical, USB, Bluetooth (optional)
Budget: up to £800
Sound quality is important as I am a musician.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Much appreciated.

Just choose the features you need, it is actually fairly difficult to find a really poorly ( audibly different) engineered unit these days.

What is wrong with your D300?

With Topping D50 III, E70 and E70 Velvet, D70 Pro OCTO, D70 Pro Sabre, D90 III Sabre there is something for every price range. SMSL VMV D1SE 2, D400 ES and DO400 are also nice devices.

What is wrong with your D300?

Thank you. Developed a lot of crackling, even with no input. Sent an audio file to SMSL and they replied saying it needed repairing, but nowhere here to repair it. I guess that's the problem with Chinese imports.
