DAC programmable max volume / default volume

After joining ASR, I'm now smart enough to know not to buy a Hegel H190! But two features I liked when researching the H190 were a programmable max volume setting and default volume setting (1 - 99). I have young kids in the house and things don't always stay as I leave them... I could under-power my amp, but who wants to do that? I'm not looking for "fool-proof" protection, but these are good first order solutions to a rare problem.

I searched the reviews & previous threads but couldn't find reference to this information. Do any of these volume-control DACs have the features I mentioned above?

You could use passive attenuators so that maximum volume is not too loud.

That won’t fix the headphone amp, though, but RME can disable high power mode for it. Still powerful in low power mode.
