So I am looking for a DAC that can support a couple of active speakers and my existing LovelyCube headphone amp.
I am getting a couple of B&O BeoLab 3 speakers that I want to use with my PC, and I want a new DAC for two reasons.
1. Sound quality
2. I do not trust Windows volume management. These speakers should be kept at a very low volume, and in my experience, Windows just randomly chooses that an output should suddenly be at max volume.
I would love to have a setup that lets me have Windows at 100% volume, and the DAC controls the volume depending on the output. So 100% on RCA to my headphone amp, as it has its own volume control, and 10% when choosing to play via my speakers.
Does this exist? My budget is around 600USD.
A integrated DAC/AMP combo would also work.
