DAC audible differences are finally proven with ABX?

I have made this offer in the name of science and as my small contribution to the community, it is incredibly risky for me. Not to mention what kind of tariff and import headache I have to deal with, or what kind of sales tax I will be on the hook for (and with no LLC nevertheless) or what kind of shit show hassle it will be on April 15th for me.

To do this thoroughly one cannot escape a 'battery of tests' to characterize the performance of the box (actually the volume control) I'm afraid.
Of course just some basic measurements could be done but might generate more questions.

Amir is a busy man with a lot of backlog and do not expect any results any time soon as that is not realistic (and know how much time this would take).

The speculation continues and will keep continue to do so till all is cleared up (which it can't/won't) or the thread is locked or fizzles out I'm afraid as it is impossible to check what actually happened.
At least we will know how the box performs.

Agreed, and that is the difference between thoroughly testing the ABX box and fully repeating the experience of Josh with recordings and sharing to the community on top. But again, I trust Amir to draw the line where he wants.

We can only try to replicate what he did with the ABX box he's kindly sold to one of us.

Absolutely, dishonesty and forgery is all in the cards. I'm from New York, trust is earned by verification and proven reputation.

Having said that, innocent until proven guilty should still be the law of the land, well at least in my part of the world that is. Because that is something I would appreciate if I was in Josh's shoes.

How could we prove dishonesty here?

Barring a confession, the evidence could only ever be circumstantial. So it would have to be one of those 'beyond a reasonable doubt' cases.
