I haven't received them yet but they are ordered and I was wondering if my Element 2 would be good enough for the T60 RP Argons? I've asked around and others have said, you'll want to upgrade. Well, would you suggest an upgrade and if so what?

The Element 2 should be fine. I ran T50 Argons on an ifi Micro Signature on normal gain: high was too much. Try the Element 2 before getting anything else. I didn't find the T50's in stock mode or Argon mode as hard to drive as the internet leads you to believe.

Also, having run through a bunch of DAC/amps I've found the Element 2 to be about the best and certainly the one I seem to have settled on.

Thank you! I’ll give it a go with my element 2. I love the element 2 and just want to make sure I’m enjoying the T60 to the best potential!

Yeah I'm really not on board with the whole directive that you need a nuclear sub-station to drive them 'properly'. I could be wrong, but I think if you've got plenty of range left on the volume control you're probably good, right? Or is a 4W amp at a quarter power, delivering 1W, different to an 8W amp at 1/8th power?

All I know is that if the amp is overpowered for the headphone you get no range on your volume control and if the cat has strolled past and moved the volume, or worse the gain switch, since your last listen then there's a chance you're going to blow your head off if your amp is overpowered.

Either way, give the Element 2 a spin.

I agree the Element 2 will have no problem. I use an EL Amp II with my Argon T50 and it has plenty of power. Modhouse mentioned the Atom would be fine too. I also agree that the call for a multitude of watts, such as from certain "elements" on YouTube, is highly exaggerated.
