Hello community!

Sadly, I had to sell my Sabaj D5, which i was and still am crazy about. Money/wife problem, long story.
I need to find something cheaper and smaller now.

I was thinking about:
Raspberry Pi 4 + Hifiberry Digi+ Pro (already own this) as Source
Khadas Tone Board as a DAC
Schiit Magni Heresy as AMP

Or even cheaper - just switch from Hifiberry Digi+ Pro to Hifiberry DAC+ Pro without buying Khadas?
I dream about Schiit stack - Black MODI 3 + black Magni Heresy, but i'm afraid that Modi 3 wouldn't be good enough after using Sabaj D5.

Would there by an audible difference between that setup and Sabaj D5? Be honest please, i'm not an audiophile.
I am using Roon, if that matters.

Objectively, it should be similar enough!

That's why i'm asking.
I'm not one of those guys that thinks cheaper = way worse. I know there can be difference with measurments, but not necessarily with the sound they "produce".

If Modi 3 + Magni Heresy should be enough for me - i'm perfectly happy with that, because i love the aesthetics of this stack.
I won't switch my cans anytime soon, so i'll stay with Monolith M1060 for next 2-3 years probably, unless they broke sooner ;)

The problem is, i'm from Poland, it's not easy to order this, so i need to be 100% sure.

That's understandable. I do not own modi/magni heresy so can only go from all the good things said about the stack online. In black I also think the aesthetics are just terrific. In any case I think you'd have better warranty in place with the schiit than with a Chinese brand like Sabaj.

SQ-wise, I'm pretty sure it would deliver. Maybe someone else can chime in who can offer better comparison :)

Anyone? My ears are bleeding when using Chromecast Audio or my laptop directly without anything in between.

I need to make some decisions, and i need to make them fast :D

P.S. I already own one Khadas Tone Board in my stereo setup in the living room, i so i know i can trust in this tiny little thing. Still, i'd love to have a Schiit Stack on my desk.
