Cymax Purifi 1ET9040BA with Weiss OP2-BP Dual-Mono Power Amplifier

Agree with you. NaCl taste different from different supplier as well. Although all are NaCl but because of the way the NaCl are created/mined/purified, it gives a totally different taste. for copper although all are Cu, but they can be very different resulting in different conductivity and different sound. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S092150932500142X#:~:text=Abstract. Single crystal copper exhibits superior conductivity,in the field of electronic information transmission.

I finally got my Maroon amp today. The first impression was that it was damn well assembled and surprisingly turned out to be very heavy, as much as 12 kg of net weight. I'm still very busy with work, but I'll install and test it in the next few days..

Congrats, you like the sound from it?

Today we finally managed to install and configure the received amplifier. The first impressions are the most positive!! The power and purity of the sound is felt immediately.. My old PSB speakers sounded completely different)) Now I'm waiting for the Eminent Technology LFT-8с acoustics I ordered.
I think with them, there will be a completely different sound level.
In general, I do not regret at all that I paid attention and ordered a Chinese amplifier for Purifi 1ET9040BA.

I was hunting around for a Purifi 1ET9040BA implementation that I really like. I found this power amplifier from Cymax and wanted to share some photos of its design, which has been very thoughtful and high in its quality of implementation and design.

It has dual XLR inputs which enables me to connect my Network Streamer and LR channel of my AV Processor to the Cymax power amp, and have the inputs and gain easily selectable from the front with its rotary dial with LCD display. I love the shielded power supplies and that it uses a linear power supply for the input op-amp boards, keeping the Hypex SMPS1200A180 to power the Purifi 1ET9040BA amp module in dual mono configuration.

Their website allows configuring for various options so I have spec several upgrades

It’s running in now on Sonus Faber Amati G5 speakers. First impressions are effortless dynamics, detailed (especially instruments and voice), neutral, bass is punchy (a little less weighty than my Parasound) but seem more textured.
Great amplifier!
I just purchased and came today to home my Cymax Purifi 1et400a full linear power supply pure power amplifier!
Sound great, no hum from its monster 700w power transformer, sounds great with 3 ohm Dynaudio, my transformer volume control line preamp and my Denafrips Enyo 15th DAC. Can't be happier! Cymaxdigital.com of China. Confirmed by Purifi Denmark they are genuine modules Eigentak. Quality construction as good as Krell (made in china too) but I won't trade by a used Krell, this is high definition of sound. And the full linear power supply (totally without any SMPS) is even cleaner as Amirm measured ("is needed linear psu for DAC" conclusion: not but measurably lower noise spectrum the linear hehehe) makes for me a total absence of audition fatigue compared to purifi/ncore implemented by @Audiophonics I had had and have to sell. And all this success thanks to Cymax Digital and Bruno Pulzeys, the Nelson Pass of XIX , the genius behind .
Post data: all this body sound and transparency without a hint of big toroidal hum, and I live in south Madrid where they say power electricity is dirty!
A pair of interconnect XLR for free in parcel. 10 stars of five. I won't sell my 3e PFFB full linear power supply also but DIY power amps, I will keep up for other rooms. But definitely this is better. Keep in mind I had had and sold Topping B100, and LA90. Not bad but is for speakers with minimum impedance of more than 8 ohmios (almost no one except mark audio) this purifi eigentak full linear power supply is for any load, just choose your favorite speaker regardless the impedance and enjoy forever ☺️

At first blush, I couldn't differentiate between the MK2 Dual-Mono, Pro Dual-Mono, and Pro MK2 Dual-Mono versions.
All three are available with my desired configuration:
WBT 0703CUAG Speaker Binding Posts
Neutrik Gold Plated XLR + RCA
Furutech Gold Plated Power IEC Inlet
Neotech UP-OCC Internal Input Signal & Speaker Wires
Red Copper Nickel Plated Power Supply Shielding/Cooling Heat Sinks + Partition

Price as configured above with SS2590:
$2,615 MK2 Dual-Mono
$2,766 Pro Dual-Mono
$3,221 Pro MK2 Dual-Mono

I have questions, but first the comparisons.
Pro MK2 chassis is taller.

Power Modules:
MK2 - Hypex SMPS1200A180
PRO - Hypex SMPS1200A180
PRO MK2 - Micro Audio

Auxiliary Power Module:
MK2 - LPS-AUX02B-2H
PRO - LPS-AUX02B-2H
PRO MK2 - LPS-AUX02B-2V

Independent Fuse Socket
MK2 - NO
PRO - YES
PRO MK2 - YES

Buffer Boards:
MK2 - BB-SL7879B-2F
PRO - BB-SPL7879B-2F
PRO MK2 - BB-SPL7879B-2F

Inputs:
MK2 - RCA unbalanced / XLR balanced
PRO - XLR Balanced X 2
PRO MK2 - XLR Balanced X 2

QUESTIONS
1- Is there an advantage between either of the power modules? I assume the aux power modules are different to accommodate the different power modules, if there is an advantage otherwise please explain.
2- What is the difference between the SL7879B-2F & BB-SPL7879B-2F buffer boards?
3- Are there any other differences not listed here, pertaining to performance?

The questions pertaining to Cymax proprietary hardware are best answered by Cymax. You can email Cymax directly with tech questions at info (at) cymaxdigital.com. They responded promptly to my questions.

The Micro Audio power supply they mention was engineered to be an upgrade to the Hypex SMPS1200A180 used with the Purifi 1ET9040BA module, and several builders offer it as an option. The one they use is most likely this one: SMPS1K-SN. If you have questions, again, I found Micro Audio to be very responsive: microaudio (at) aol.com.

The independent fuse socket may be a redundancy given the power supply has an onboard fuse, although I've seen some builders include one at the IEC socket anyway.

The power supply you linked to is a 1200W power supply. MA is supposed to output 1400W or more to meet the full specifications of the 9040BA module.

It does (the SMPS1k-SN). It is actually capable of nearly 1600w peak, so 1400w is not an issue for max power.

The power supply used by CYMAX is not the SMPS1K-SN.

SMPS1K-SN Peak power is 1650W.

Thanks
Thanks for the clarification. May I wonder why you specify your PS at 1200W? It does confuse one to think it is a 1200W like the Hypex ones.

Also, which PS is used in their top of their CY-1ET9040BA-02M Pro MK2 Dual-Mono Digital Power Amplifier?

Finally, would you ever offer a regulated power supply in the future?

We always specify the products at the nominal RMS output power, and we keep the extra juice for our users to enjoy.

However, if you believe that it creates confusion, we will adjust that.

CYMAX uses the COBRA SMPS with different specifications.

We are working on the new SMPS family LLC regulated. It's still early to talk about it, but you asked for it, and here it is!

A lot of heavy work is going on in the background for many new products.

Thank you

The new 900W PFC+LLC SMPS family! Very small!

Nice ... I know new products are in the design queue and not finalized, but what kind of line and load regulation target specs are you aiming for?

In the +-32V version the voltage drops 0.2V at 930W from 64.5V to 64.3V. At 15A output current for 5 seconds.

All tests were made at 100VAC input.

Thanks
