Current plant for 2.1 desktop setup

Ok so I know some of yall might have seen my craze for 2.1 DACS but honestly I give up. It's never happening anytime soon.

SO my current plan may be to buy a Buchardt Sub10 and upgrade my Focusrite interface for another proper DAC and use the subs built in dsp and crossovers for my studio monitors.

The Buchardt Sub 10 has everything I would want, except for the price but oh well, I have a small bedroom and it should be enough for me AND with the Deep Bass Master Tuning 16hz is just mighty fine for me.

For the DAC selection I just want a reliable dac with Bluetooth and good quality. I am a little hesitant to buy a topping DAC cuz ive heard stuff about them failing quick, especially the DX5ii and failure reports and software issues. I just want a simple DAC with not much software going on or dsp's.

The new SMSL H200 seems very intriguing though. I just need a relatively cheap but not too cheap DAC/Pre amp that's reliable.

If any of you think this is a good idea or have DAC recommendations feel free to let me know or if this is a good idea to follow through

That's strictly a DAC tho. No headphone out. I just want at least an all in one unit. That's why I mentioned the new SMSL H200. There's nothing wrong with the focusrite tbh but there's no Bluetooth or output switching from headphones to speakers and other features etc.

It does seem ideal but then there's no headphone amp. That's why if I get an all in one DAC I can use the Sub10 and do crossovers with that plus room correction and still have a compact DAC for my headphones. I just don't want multiple boxes and switching outputs in windows etc

assuming you want to EQ your headphones (generally recommended), most setups are going to be fiddly. an RME ADI would let you EQ your headphones and monitors independently, but you'd need add a discrete bluetooth receiver on the analogue inputs

WiiM Ultra streaming pre amp. It's a transparent device, 2.1 analogue outs, and the ability to fully control crossover, set/correct delay, etc., for the sub.

Forget about the whole streamer part, it's the best 2.1 DAC on the market at anywhere even close to this price.
