For humans anything over 20 Khz (or less in most cases) is not going to be heard whether it is part of a square wave or triangle wave or pure sine wave or harmonics of musical instruments.

certainly less at my age (73) though I am still functional to about 15k but not much if any at all above that. I still say the square wave response reveals shortcomings in amplifier design that are very revealing. How much of the revealed shortcomings are actually audible is the 50 dollar question.

Have you been tested recently? Hearing 15KHz at age 73 is astonishing. I’m 63 and have an absolute limit at 10kHz, but even then it’s very faint when very loud. Functionally my limit is 8 KHz.

no formal testing recently, I just occasionally run frequency response sweeps and see where my hearing starts failing...not super exact but does it really need to be at my age? Probably not. Like we used to say years ago...its good enough for government work.

I'd found those links but not the technical service manual for the latest drive core 2 series - covering the 2502 etc.

I'm moving to Japn and want to try and convert mine to 100v input. Most likely I will just use an outboard transformer to step up to the UK 240 versions I own.

I purchased USA 110V Crowns, and converted them to 240V - they are inherently multi-voltage, but you have to be willing to open them up and reset .... I came across the details of how to do that on a forum (Audiocircle? maybe?) - and they have been running on 240V ever since (circa 15years).

Note that mine are the XLS2500 not the 2502....

Look on the back panel of the unit. It automatically detects the line voltage and the universal power supply switches between 4 different voltages, including 240. 50 or 60 hz. No setting or transformer needed. Just plug it in.
