So...I realized I can build a 2 ND oder crossover with a large inductor and smaller cap or use a small inductor and a large cap. The larger inductor path has higher resistivity for crossover. 12 ohms. The smaller inductor has very low resistivity. Both yield exact same crossover curve per vituax. Advantages to one or other? What am I missing.

Both yield exact same crossover curve per Both yield exact same crossover curve per vituax.
It has SOMETHING to do with the speaker impedance. That has to be included in the calculations. I'm not an expert and it's been decades since I studied filters, but from what I've seen, 4-Ohm speakers use different crossovers than 8-Ohm speakers (even with the same crossover frequencies).

Look for some better crossover design/modeling software or do some more research into the formulas.

Both woofer and tweeter are rated 8 ohm.

Im specifically talking about the woofer 2nd order crossover. Induct large cap small or ind small. Cap large gives same crossover freq and curve shape with tweeter

Why not provide us with the values you came up with and how you determined those?

Yes...ill add these when I get home. I agree..this seems strange to me.

So, what are the 2 sets of values? I only see one of them?

Also, you posted the exact same photo twice.

Only have one with me...need to add other later

Omg. I am so sorry if I offended you and all of the members in this group. Ya know ..I came to this group with a simple question. I have 2 cross over solutions. Why and what are pros and cons. Maybe 1 is lr and maybe the other is buttersworth. Gee. That would have been nice input. Or. Maybe one is overdampes...yeah. solid input. Im sorry that between my job...yard work..taking out my son's tree...preparing for my birthday tomorrow...indidnt have time to screen shot my computer crap. Im open to adding data in appropriate manner as need for inputs to my questions above

Your curves do not appear to be "exactly" the same.
Save the two crossovers as variation 1 and variation 2 in VituixCAD.
Go to variation 1, hover over each of the on-axis response, tweeter response and woofer response and right-click and select "Save selected as overlay" (first screenshot below).
Go to variation 2 and all of the variation 1 curves will show as overlays next to your new curves with your variation 2 crossover.
Below, I right clicked and selected "Traces" and changed the colors and pattern so that the overlay is the same color but dashed (second screenshot below).

Supreme....thanks for tutorial. Option 2 a little kinder gentler roll off of woofer. Xover point not quite where I would like it. Nothing bad of note? Any advantage to big inductor small cap vs small cap big inductor? Was going to put lpad in with tweeter however since this is a nonported design and will be against a wall...opting for external lpad incase I move away from wall and need to attenuat the tweeter. Already have option 1 built...
