Crackling with apple USB-C jack adapter A2049

Hi all,

I'm using a an Apple dac/amp jack adapter (A2049) reviewed by amirm.
Unfortunately it crackles/sizzles on the right channel with a Bose QC25 used with its android version TRRS cable (there also exists an iOS version).
Could this be some CTIA/OMTP issues, as the ground is inverted with the mic between the 2 ?
Don't have other headphones to test

Ok tried with a HD595, same problem.
Other than a defect in the adapter I don't see anything
