Cordial CFU and Ceon Review (Cables) and more

I used to be a member of audiogon. It's so refreshing to see measurements that prove what engineers knew all along, but many consumers are STILL blind to.
I decided to delete my profile there simply because the members were talking about ethernet cables, power cables, and interconnects making a huge difference.
When I suggested particular textbooks to read, I was called out by the moderators and told I'd be banned. So much for free speech and being able to share knowledge.
Just now I tried https://forum.audiogon.com/ and needed to check box that I am human. This repeated many times until I quit. Seems that asr members are no human and not allowed to go into the holy audiogon forum.

This might be a legitimate push to prevent bots.
At any rate, that place is an asylum for the uninformed and uneducated.
Say just one thing that doesn't fit there narrow world view of "everything matters" and suddenly you're a target.
Bringing up objective data is met with denial and skepticism... It's kind of hilarious.

Thanks for agreeing with me. I appreciate it.
There is nothing holy about that place.
Holiness is rooted is truth, kindness, and real-world results.
ASR is a holy forum. Steered me in the right direction for years.
I joined today - it's great being on the objective side of the hobby.

"holy" was from me meant sarcastic and describes people who think to be above all others.

Gotcha.
The egotistical attitudes and flamboyant spending over there (on audiogon) was too annoying for me to bare any longer.

Justifying thousand dollar plus ethernet cables while not having any understanding of how computer networking or ethernet cables actually work. To your point, the "people who think to be above all others" or within their own special circle was very much alive there.

I'm all for objective data and making manufacturers accountable, rather than talking about something in audio being "high-end"
