Connecting Speaker amp to iFi Zen Air DAC

I'm wondering how I should set my DAC and speaker Amp volumes. The Zen air dac has rca out for speakers but the volume control on the dac also changes the volume out for RCA. So im wondering if i should set my DAC volume to max and adjust volume with my speaker amp or vice versa. Or if there is a better way to set this up would be much appreciated. Currently I have both set to half volume to avoid any issues.

Hi @sweatypanda69! Welcome to ASR.

The iFi uses an analog potentiometer for volume control and your Amp likely does, too so it mostly doesn't matter.

Just make sure that neither volume knob is near the bottom of its range to avoid channel imbalance.
