Hi

I am interested in buying another Za3 and connecting them in dual . How do I do the Xlr connection to the Zd3 and the speaker connections? I also have a sub is it right to connect the sub out on one of the amplifiers. And lastley i have an q acoustic 3050c tower speakers will I hear a difference connecting 2 Za3 In dual mode? Can one send a picture to see the dual setup?

ZD3 Left XLR output->ZA3 Right XLR input->Mono Speaker out->Left speaker

ZD3 Right XLR output->ZA3 Right XLR input->Mono Speaker out->Right speaker

(Yes, both Amps use the Right XLR input)

ZD3->RCA output->Subwoofer

->don't see a point in using the ZA3's Sub out here. Volume will be controlled upstream of the ZA3s anyway and LPF should be adjusted on the sub. The ZA3's built-in LPF is counterproductive here.

You can also do ZD3 Trigger out->Trigger Splitter y-cable->both ZA3 Trigger inputs so that the Amps turn on and off with the DAC.

Mono mode has more gain, and more headroom.

Without changing the DAC volume, switching to dual mono alone will raise playback volume by 20%.

Switching to dual mono will also raise the headroom enough for 10% louder playback before the Amp clips (4Ω, 48V5A), compared to a single ZA3 in Mono.

That's it. There are no other differences in sound quality.
