Okay, I'll bring a laptop and a Umik. Who is bringing the speakers? And someone will need to bring an amp.

@amirm
I would like a short listening impression but before the measurement. Take a reference like the 305, give short impression, than meassure. Use 5 mins for that , make a mixed musik track for that. Just a mono AB impression in the garage.
AMIR buy the licenses or whatever you need, I will contribute, ASR is the only completely independent review/measurement site, let us ( the royal us) make it beyond reproach.
Criticism is easy to actually get off your arse , much more difficult.
Keith
I can’t speak for Amir, but if it I simply a question of purchasing a license and adding another automated procedure I can’t see that being an issue, I am sure we would all contribute financially to that wouldn’t we Wombat/restorer John?
Keith
Shame on you.Cost/benefit case would be a good start. Remember that this 'adventure' was a personal pursuit for Amir. It was never going to be significantly funded by members, as wishful they may well be.
If you believe that all members can cough up the dosh as readily as yourself, then think again, sport.
Anyhow, any intellectual contribution on the topic from you is welcome.![]()
I had no involvement in the birth and implementation of this project. Opinions were called for. For better or worse they were given, not so freely in some cases.
I have no shame here. I also have no vested interest. Tuck it in, Keith.
Still relatively new here, but why is this stirring so much passion??
Its just speaker measurements, not life and death....
@amirm and peeps are creating a standardized system that will be used for all future measures and people get passionate about it. It's just human nature.Still relatively new here, but why is this stirring so much passion??

We should see this positiv. Meassuring Speakers is a much more emotionale thing. Dac's and Amps are nice, but speakers are somehow different.
Measuring is methodical and not emotional, even for speakers.
...and my axe!Okay, I'll bring a laptop and a Umik. Who is bringing the speakers? And someone will need to bring an amp.
We knew loudspeaker testing was going to be a whole other ball-game. My suggestion at the time it floated as a possibility, was to stay out of it altogether- either do it comprehensively or not at all.
