Compiling a list of Power DACs / full digital amplifiers

So they complain that more is measured than strictly needed?
No the complaint was that it is an integrated amplifier where you would only use the line out for subwoofer, so judging it as a bad pre-amplifier as Amirm did, does not fit how most people would the use it anyway.

So the answer is still yes; they complain that more was tested than needed. It does make for a not-so-good pre-amp, no matter if people choose to use it as one or not. In any case, it's completely irrelevant. It's also a relatively poorly performing amplifier, even if both channels were performing as well as the "good" one.

Yeah. I have the TDAI2200, which I suspect is identical inside. I love the design, and the volume knob feels like a million $, so I decided it was good enough. And it has a lot of power, which usually is the most important aspect. If you look at the review of the Crown XLS2500, it got a recommended, even though it measures way below par.

That's the great thing about measurements, you don't have to agree with the reviewer, you can just add your own context and make up your own conclusions :)
