Comparing and evaluating the Measurements

Dear All,

I'm reading a lot in here, nevertheless I've some questions regarding the reviews.

Today the review of the Grimm LS1c Speaker was published. Everybody is very excited about the performance (and I'm too).
But if I compare them to my own KH 120II I can't see a lot of differences (spinorama has no data online yet to compare them in one graph):

- The LS1 goes down to ~20 Hz, but the KH120s reach the SPL earlier (~40Hz).
- The LS1 shows a wider beam width.
- The Neumanns show more resonances in the waterfall Diagram.
- The LS1 seem to produce more SPL.

So here are my questions:

1) Im sure the Grimm ist the better speaker, but is there any difference regarding the playback quality at frequencies both can handle (let's say >100Hz)?
2) What makes the LS1 the "better" speaker? Is it just about the use case (large room vs. desk)?
3) How am I able to see that "extra excellence" in the measurements?
4) Would an upgrade of the Neumanns on the lower end (let's say one or two KH750 Subwoofers) bring them almost on par?
5) Amir hesitates later in the thread, that he had to send the KH310 and some Genelecs back after testing. Is that just the "all in one package" or an subjective feeling about the speakers, leading to his statement?

I hope it's clear, what I'd like to find out. I'm sure the Grimm may be the better speaker, but I would like to know, how this fact is represented in the graphs.

Thank's in advance
Ben
