Compact Class-D integrated amp to go with a (Technics) turntable?

Hi everybody!

I’m about to replace my discharged Sony PS-X60 turntable with a new model. It will probably be a Technics SL-1500C.

Besides I’m wondering if I could pair that new table with one of those new hot compact Class-D integrated amps popping up one after the other every month as it seems. Just to check out that new sort of gear as it would be something totally new for me.

Possible brands of choice seem to be Topping, Ampapa, Aiyima?

Idea is that the only source that little Class-D integrated amp should handle is the new table. So no DAC, WiFi etc would be necessary.

Would love to see your recommendations!

Thanks!

What speakers do you have? What is the efficiency rating? How loud do you like to play music? Also, you will needs phono preamp unless your table has a built-in one.

Built-in phono preamps may be deceptive.

Its a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 12.2.

I use to listen to music at moderate volumes. No window shattering intended.

I still have my Pro-Ject Phono Box E that was connected to the Sony table.

Link, please?

In the other “just an amp” minimalist choices, also worth considering: Fosi V3 stereo, Aiyima A07Pro with a 36v/5a power brick. The Aiyima is the latest version of their original A07 that kinda started this current wave of amps. The ones from 3e are also good but I don’t own those. You can read Amir’s reviews.

Recently tested and IMHO nice:

That looks interesting but perhaps a completely different thing to what the OP required.

Do you have any technical details or test results for the amp that might encourage interest in it?

If you want to be able to play at higher volumes occasionally, getting a 48v/5a GaN power brick probably worth doing.

The TDA 7293 chip appears to be a class AB chip.
Nothing wrong with that, btw.

Is there any need to check all the recommendations mentioned for (active) fans? As I definitely don’t want any.

Not sure I understand the question.

Amps that are built without a fan inside, generally don't need one, as long as they're placed sensibly.

These efficient chip amps don't need any fans. The only real downside you may encounter (like with the Ampapa I recommended) is the absence of a headphone socket.

I won’t like an internal ADC -> DAC flow, for my analog turntable signal stream. How can I verify this, with a given Class-D amp?

Huh? All of the amps mentioned are rca in or balanced in, have no dac…they would be using an analog signal out of your phono box.
