Hi,

I am looking around for compact systems, I know about Marantz Cinema 70s, but I am hoping for more like something similar to:

Canton: https://www.canton.de/en/products/type/amplifier-preamplifier/ (outdated HDMI version)
SVS: https://www.svsound.com/products/prime-wireless-pro-soundbase (No HT Sound support and only 2 channels)

There is an alternative solution I am looking at, KEF LS50 Wireless II / 2 which is perfect, more or less, but lack some kind of spatial audio or dolby stuff, but its ok, also looked a Ruark Audio R410, but they don’t have an app... SVS Prime Wireless Pro was also something I looked at, but does not have a control app, just the DTS-FI which is not an app for the speaker it self, like KEF's.

Its important that it has a eARC (to connect to the TV) and RJ45 for the network, I have given up on a normal AVR due to the pricing here in Europe is outrageous and find minimalism to be appealing to me. I can’t have a soundbar either due to the TV's foot is so low it makes the TV more or less touching the furniture.

Thanks!

You're looking for multichannel for surround, if I'm understanding right? If you don't have room for a soundbar, where is the center channel going to go?

I would recommend the LSX II over the LS50 Wireless II. KEF makes great speakers, but their electronics and software leave a lot to be desired. The LSX II is reputed to be a bit more reliable than the LS50WII. I have some experience with the LSX II LT and they seem fine for what they are (though note there is no Roon support or analog input for the cheaper LT model).

Yes, I am. I have built a furniture that has a opening for a center, under the top board.

The new Anthem MRX slim maybe?
Ooo, I have missed this one, pretty cool. But marantz C70 would make more sense then since it has more up to date formats and HDMI versions. Thank you for the tip.

Haven’t checked that model , is it not lesser in performance and sound ?

Ah I see, not enough horizontal space for a soundbar.

Yeah as far as truly compact AVRs go, it seems like the Marantz 70s or the Anthem MRX Slim are really the only game in town. It's too bad the Anthem hasn't been updated with HDMI 2.1 support, although 2.0b is fine unless you plan to use it for gaming on a 120Hz screen.

For options that are somewhat less compact, but still smaller than your traditional AVR, you can look at the Marantz NR1510, Sony STR-DH590, Pioneer VSX-534, or JBL MA710.

I wouldn't say so, no. More importantly, the LSX II seems to have a better reputation for reliability, which is important when you consider that if the app for these speakers stops working, or the wifi cuts out, or the built-in amps fail (because of cold solder joints or whatever reason) -- your speakers instantly become worthless bricks.

Understand, need to do some reading on the LSX then, thank you.
