[This thread is now closed as the Tableau dashboards are no longer in service. Please refer to the Master Review Index to see the latest information regarding ASR data + dashboards.]

Hi everyone. I wanted to let folks know about the new ASR Review Stats dashboards. With these dashboards you can view high-level metrics on the number of reviews and measurements that have been done by Amir and other ASR members. You can find it here (or pinned on the Forum Suggestions & Announcements page):

The new index page has the following dashboards which are tabs on the top:
  • Summary Stats
  • Detailed Stats
  • Detailed Stats x Date
  • Notes

Summary Stats
Some key features:
  1. When viewing the Tooltip (if you hover over a mark) you will see a breakdown of the number of reviews & measurements by type: Electronics, Speakers, or Headphones.
  2. If you click on any of the boxes of the treemap in the upper-right corner it will filter the rest of the dashboard. Simply click the same box again to remove the filter.

Detailed Stats
Some key features:
  1. Depending on which metric you choose to view the list can be fairly long. As such you can use the 'Select Limit' control to view just the top n number of entries. By default this control is set to the Top 25.

Detailed Stats x Date
This dashboard is meant to show a more detailed view of reviews & measurements over time. Some key features:
  1. Depending on which metric you choose the view can be fairly dense. As such you can use the 'Select Limit' control to view just the top n number of entries. By default this control is set to the Top 25.
  2. Use the 'Select Time View' control to view by Year, Quarter, Month, or Week. (The default is Quarter.)
    • Keep in mind that when choosing Month or Week this graphic will expand significantly; you will need to use the horizontal scroll bar.
  3. Some marks (circles) will overlap because they have the same count for the same time period. To get around this you can use the 'Select Mark Spacing' control and set it to "On". (This control is on by default.) This will create a small gap between marks (circles) that would normally overlap. Set this control to "Off" if you prefer that the marks be aligned exactly with the y axis.

---------------------
Going forward I'll be maintaining these stats dashboards. Please PM me (or post on this thread) with:
  • feature suggestions. (Keep in mind that we are limited by what the visualization platform -- Tableau Public -- can do.)
  • issues you find with the data.
  • issues with the dashboards.
Your feedback is welcome!

A huge thanks to @pozz for championing this idea and for all of the work he put into this. He not only did a ton of work putting the data together but was heavily involved with the design and testing.

Going forward I'll be using this post to track major changes to the Stats dashboards. (Minor changes will be released but not tracked here.)
