Classical ♫ Music only | Some you listen now or recently, some you love...

Watching all the credits on discogs made me realise the scale of Bach's productivity, this is just amazing. He's also probably most people's favorite. Will try the easter oratorio thanks for the idea.

Quite a few jazz ensembles use Bach’s music to improvise on, also makes for an interesting listen.

This is very tasteful new angle on Bach [and Rachmaninov]. Respighi is one of great orchestrators and I think he has it Bach just right - sounds surprisingly “modern” but still keeping all the inner power of Bach’s music.

Very italian style, and very modern indeed.
Contrary to you I don't really like his take on Bach, but I like his take on Rachmaninov.
The recording quality is also very satisfying.
