Very "british" humor...
Ahem... That'd be "humour".
Very "british" humor...
Yes. as the State Park near me (Charleston, SC USA) is named "Charles Towne Landing" and the main road 1 block from my mother's rental property is "Old Towne Road".Ahem... That'd be "humour".
It's quite likely that I'll make a few more for the UK market in the new year, although it definitely needs to go to SMT for longer-term use.Very "british" humor...
@Michael Fidler are you indeed considering phasing the MC Pro out? Will there be a new product introduced for low output MC cartridges? E.g. a "MC Pro II" with balanced inputs?
BASED - It appears that I've made this one a bit too dry for global consumption, although it's certainly been worth it for the trolling.Ahem... That'd be "humour".
Chapeaux Sir. My word for the day.opprobrious
I love British humor, but this one I missed..He's taking the piss.
25,000 pounds is the price of the Tom Evans Mastergroove which has been exposed and ridiculed recently.
@Michael Fidler You're a funny guy.
Native-level dryness - only John in Australia and the boys in the UK caught on. The dryer the better, but it's something the Americans are highly blind to and liable to take very seriously; a perpetual source of amusement to a sadistic disposition!I love British humor, but this one I missed..
Would that be from:Chapeaux Sir. My word for the day.
My problem was that it was too early in the morning when I dropped into the discussion, too sleepy to catch the dryness.Native-level dryness - only John in Australia and the boys in the UK caught on. Also, it's done wonders to troll the worst prospective nightmares, who I'd do anything not to accept payment from and demonstrated remarkable immunity to 'best of luck with your next choice' and other very gentle goodbyes out of my inbox for good. These types of exchanges represent 5% of LOMC queries, but 90% of them are using LOMC.I get it now. I'm so out of the loop...![]()
The MC Pro was a remarkable accomplishment. Helped to facilitate a fresh dialogue about what we should expect (and should not) from MC performance. I certainly appreciated the engineering insights, even though I was not in the market for a new phonostage. Also, it's done wonders to troll the worst prospective nightmares, who I'd do anything not to accept payment from and demonstrated remarkable immunity to 'best of luck with your next choice' and other very gentle goodbyes out of my inbox for good. No, I'm afraid I can't accept conditions other than the ones explicitly listed on the website (for instance payment only after proof of shipping to a different country!), tell you/make a sale on the basis of what the SNR will be in your listening room, condone the use of the USA voltage power supply adaptor in Europe because it's rated for 4VA more, take responsibility for the hum problems you've already got in your setup prior to sale, or make you a version using the LM4562 or some other exotic IC all the while you berate me for finishing the project and tell me how much better your system is compared to my current user base! Most of this just from one person alone.
BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR NEXT CHOICE
So I should make a new version? The MC Pro was a remarkable accomplishment. Helped to facilitate a fresh dialogue about what we should expect (and should not) from MC performance. I certainly appreciated the engineering insights, even though I was not in the market for a new phonostage.
You seems to have a talent for good old engineering without BS , make any product please .So I should make a new version?
OK - I'll make a start on the layoutWow. The business person in me says it depends on how fast the first stock turned over - in other words, how was the market demand? I can certainly understand using all of your manufacturing capacity for MM phonos that turn over faster than the MC Pro.
The audiophile in me says, hell yes! The measured and subjective performance per reviews suggests that it was unique at its price point.
I regret not buying an MC Pro when I had the chance
