Is it possible to output digital audio from a Chromecast audio via caox cable using a 3,5 mm to coax adapter?

There's a "S/PDIF (Toslink) Digital Optical to Digital Coaxial (RCA) Audio Converter" at Monoprice. You'll need a mini-tos adapter for a standard optical cable to get digital out of the CCA as far as I know.

Yeah, already know that, was wondering if coax was an option as well

No, you have to understand that the CCA only do two things. Analogue stereo out and Toslink Optical for the digital signal. Hence the need for a media converter. From Toslink to coax, optical to electric digital signal. Lots of cheap and good converters out there. Where do you live?

Nvm, thanks guys but I asked cause also my TV has an optical out that I'll connect to a dac that only has 1 opt in. So I think I'll end up buying an optical switch with a remote control

The simple optical to coax converter linked above will likely be a less expensive and cleaner solution.
