Choosing between AsciLab C6Bs and Wharfedale Linton 85ths

Building my first dedicated stereo system. I'm currently trying to decide between buying a pair of AsciLab F6B speakers or Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary speakers. I was also considering the AsciLab C6Bs but it appears they won't be in stock in the US for months and I wanted to get my sound system set up sooner rather than later. There are several aspects I would like more information on.

For reference, these will be used in a bedroom with the dimensions of 9 ft. 7 in. (length) by 13 ft. 6 in. (width) by 8 ft. 4 in. (height). The bed itself takes up a large portion of the room, if this would negatively affect dynamics and placement too much there's a slightly larger office space I could put them?

Quality: What does each speaker excel at? What are their shortcomings?

Cost: I know the cost of the speakers themselves, but I also need a streamer/dac/amp and a subwoofer. Would the Wharfedale speakers require similarly more expensive accessories to shine compared to the more budget option of the F6Bs? While I'm willing to spend more on higher-quality audio, I'm worried that I would need to spend significantly more on supplementary equipment to justify purchasing the Wharfedale speakers. What equipment would go best with each speaker?

AsciLab F6B is fine

The office makes more sense to me

Not really. Get a good class D amp so you're immune to EPDR and it will handle either speaker fine.

I'm a C6B owner. I have the Eversolo Play and SVS SB-1000 Pro and for the living area I use then in, it provides plenty of power, so F6B's would be even easier to run.

The Eversolo Play or Wiim Amp Ultra, can serve as streamer, dac and amp. Both have room correction, PEQ and sub management.

Can't speak to the Linton 85ths, I just really liked the aesthetic of the Ascilab speakers and it's a massive win that they sound great and cost to performance are unbeatable.

I hope some of that helps :)

Lintons maximize the possibilities of old-school design, but directivity is consequently meh. I would write them off completely if Erin (who has heard hundreds of speakers) didn't like them so much. (Subjective: I know, I know, don't shoot me!) Ascilabs maximize measurement-first, computer-optimized design (that tweeter waveguide is really something special), but as a small speaker the bass impact is underwhelming (I own the C6Bs). Ascilabs plus a sub, with an amp with bass management and ROOM CORRECTION (absolutely positively ESSENTIAL) is tough to beat.

Perception of bass is very dependent on room (even with room correction, which I say once again is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL), loudness, music type, taste, etc etc etc, so you may find Ascilabs without a sub to be adequate.

So I would start there. Ascilabs and a Wiim Ultra, then you can contemplate adding a sub if the bass underwhelms.

And definitely the office! Unless you plan to listen lying in bed.

And please don't fall for audiophool nonsense that more expensive amps sound better. Amps is amps (except for ROOM CORRECTION, which most audiophool amps do not have, despite it being ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL, did I mention that??). Doubleplus for cables.
