Chiptunes And Beyond

Oh good gods, you can't comprehend how much that triggers me.

8-bit version:

Dead Cells, easily one of the hardest and most satisfying games both, that were ever made. With one of the best soundtracks too! Castlevania DLC rocks because it comes with an 8-bit demake soundtrack for the whole game.

Before Amiga, I had an Atari 800XL. One of the games I was really impressed with on Atari was Draconus, both from a graphics as well as music perspective.

Here is the original:

Nice cover by Tim Forsyth can be downloaded here: https://remix.kwed.org/download.php/7037/Tim Forsyth - Draconus.mp3
Adam Gilmore wrote the music for Draconus which was released back in 1988.

Now, guess who is back with a new Draconus version for the Atari XL/XE...

Yes, that's right, Adam is back with a new release for the good old 8-bit machine!

Here is Adam Gilmore with Draconus 2024 (Atari XL/XE).

Apparently this is a single emulated oscillator without any extra functionality, not even volume control
