Hello.
I read on this forum about good products from China , but they are only DAC -s , headphone amp .
I am interested if there is companies which do not stereo amp but monoblocks amp. I'm looking for something with a good price in this subject . ( Cheep and good enough so not monoblocks with tubes , only solid state)

Please guide me in the right direction.

Welcome Dadix. You have posed a good question.

Firstly I would ask, why monoblocks? There are advantages and disadvantages to separating each power amplifier from a common chassis.

What do you intend to drive (your speakers) and what sort of levels do you tend to enjoy?

Thank you for reply .
For now I want only to do some research, to see which options there are . I have modest speakers , some vintage Magnat Zero 5 , I intend to upgrade to Magnat Zero 7 , also vintage because I am on the budget .

I don't know any disadvantage from monoblocks ... Only the price and the cost of electricity bil , but like a sayed I am at begining of the road . Some suggestions would be nice .

Why monoblocks? I don't know for sure, but wherever forum I read sun or letter I read about them and how they are an improvement to stereo amplificatio : better clarity, more nice sound . But when I see which they cost I make a step back.

So now I am trying to see if Chinese path , is better for me . I'm not an audiophile guy , but I like a clear , nice sound, an articulate sound . For now I have a nice vintage Pioneer sx 434 which I like it very nice. ( Esthetically and sondwise )

I used to own a phoned SX-434 myself. I found it at a thrift store for $6. It's a good looking and well built unit. But it was very obviously under powered. You can see it losing control of woofers just turning it up a bit. Honestly, even the AVRs that measure so poorly here would likely be an upgrade, just from the power increase alone.

On paper, there are many good looking amplifiers with good official specifications. The problem is that we have to trust that these specifications are real.
As long as there is no independent and reliable test, I would be cautious before buying.
It is true that Amir has tested many more DACs than power amplifiers, but he is a single person working alone and is overworked.
Buying without an independent test is buying blindly without objective information about the true quality of the device.

While it's not exactly a monoblock (let alone 2 of them) I recommend the Behringer A800.

I am looking into gd. Why is it hated?
Because everything I've seen measured is absolute garbage. The designer also thinks distortion is a good thing and you want to have it. I doubt his amplifiers are any good.

The only Chinese power amplifier I really want to see measured is the Danafrips Hyperion. Danafrips has some R2R DACs that actually measure well, unlike most R2R designs. So it seems they know what they are doing.

I have ordered an Ares II. :)

I have also seen that Shengya is supposed to be good. Any recommendation in this direction? (cost/effective Chinese stuff)

I am also assessing getting a used Pass Labs but is more expensive and very power hungry. Luxman looks good too.
