Filling these stands is a must as they ring like bells!

Perhaps. Truth be told, the PC2000 subs used to be quite cheap here, so cheap in fact that without much effort I am sure I could find speaker stands that cost more than the subs. But for sure, the subs do not offer any means of hiding any cables. Nor are they "nice looking" either, but I find that they look quite subtle and do not draw much attention to themselves.Sitting on their mother's shoulders?I'd look at that combo as too much costly joinery (4 boxes where 2 will do) and too many amplifiers and cables. But I'm sure it sounds great.

I was using stools from our kitchen island as we re-model our house. Unfortunately my wife was getting pretty annoyed that we couldn't sit at the island because of my speaker "problem." So I made my own speaker stands. Weigh 45lbs each and can hold over 200lbs.I am using wooden bar stools very much like these for my AsciLab C6Bs:...

I have two of each stand, I just didn't have any other pictures. So this image is the right side of my room, and I have the same stands and speakers symmetrically on the left side of the room. The shorter one is 26 inches and the taller one 32 inches. Why the height difference?
Are they bar stool and regular chair height adjusted?
I asumed you had two of each.I have two of each stand, I just didn't have any other pictures. So this image is the right side of my room, and I have the same stands and speakers symmetrically on the left side of the room. The shorter one is 26 inches and the taller one 32 inches.
I have a lot of speakers, so the tall skinny ones are for smaller speakers and the shorter wider ones are for larger speakers. For the two that happen to be in the picture, the tweeter on the low one is lower than I would normally listen too, but I was just doing some A/B comparisons when I took the picture....My comment was regering to that the tweeters was at different hight level....
When I had my KH120 I put them on cinder blocks, something like in the pics below.
Obviously I'm not sure if acoustically it's OK, but they were rock solid lol
What other cheap alternatives to speaker stands do you know? Maybe something cheap from Ikea? View attachment 98556View attachment 98557
Are these hollow? If so, did you use any fill for them?I was using stools from our kitchen island as we re-model our house.
