Cheap alternatives to speaker stands?

a wooden stool is very often a perfect stand, if the height fits the speaker (to bring it to the right height) for smaller speakers. My ex used something like this to put her Harbeth Monitor 30's on.

A speaker stand is nothing magic, you just need something sturdy, stabel flat that does not or very little resonate. For that metal stands are often not good except when damped with sand or similar mass inside the hollow pipes. Metal resnonate a lot when not damped right. solid wood stools or similar constructions are damped enough in their construction to work without issues. You could also make something yourself if you're a bit handy with wood.

I've also seen people use just a raw wood stump of the right height (but make sure it's very dry) or ceramic or concrete construction stones (maybe not good for the look, but it works).

Sitting on their mother's shoulders? ;) I'd look at that combo as too much costly joinery (4 boxes where 2 will do) and too many amplifiers and cables. But I'm sure it sounds great.
Perhaps. Truth be told, the PC2000 subs used to be quite cheap here, so cheap in fact that without much effort I am sure I could find speaker stands that cost more than the subs. But for sure, the subs do not offer any means of hiding any cables. Nor are they "nice looking" either, but I find that they look quite subtle and do not draw much attention to themselves.

I already posted this in some other threads, but since I am proud of this solution I am glad for any opportunity to post it again:

My speaker stands consist of a pair of 50€ Amazon barstools without the seat attached. They are made from stamped steel, so they would ring, but I sealed them with black rough duct tape and black silicone and filled every element to the brim with sand. They are very quiet now and much heavier, no more obvious ringing. I used black door seals for the top and cable ties to fix the speaker cables to the stands. They are the very same width as the Elac DBR62.

The barstools I used: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B083B9ZCWP/

This is the outcome, I like it very much:

2nd hand speaker stands is often cheaper than other non speakerstsnd stands here in sweden.
I bought a pair of Target stands for 10€. Sturdy as hell, supports my Stage Accompany 4744 (45 kg each) no problem.

I am using wooden bar stools very much like these for my AsciLab C6Bs:...
I was using stools from our kitchen island as we re-model our house. Unfortunately my wife was getting pretty annoyed that we couldn't sit at the island because of my speaker "problem." So I made my own speaker stands. Weigh 45lbs each and can hold over 200lbs.

Why the height difference?
Are they bar stool and regular chair height adjusted?

I have two of each stand, I just didn't have any other pictures. So this image is the right side of my room, and I have the same stands and speakers symmetrically on the left side of the room. The shorter one is 26 inches and the taller one 32 inches.

I asumed you had two of each.
My comment was regering to that the tweeters was at different hight level. I was probably not on point with my question.
English is my second or third language, depending on mood and WHO I talk to thats my excuse anyway.

I have a lot of speakers, so the tall skinny ones are for smaller speakers and the shorter wider ones are for larger speakers. For the two that happen to be in the picture, the tweeter on the low one is lower than I would normally listen too, but I was just doing some A/B comparisons when I took the picture.

Are these hollow? If so, did you use any fill for them?

I used a pair of small subwoofers from a cheap 5.1 kit made by Samsung I had lying around as speaker stands to elevate my speakers on top of a pair of larger subwoofers.
