My goodness, a completely unexpected appraisal ...

Also, does Revel have any plans for an active line?

They certainly have the necessary expertise and resources under the Harman roof.

Except for the plinth shape, it looks like stuff straight out of the VPI parts bin.
All that time and $ to drag a rock thru a ditch.

Surely, you have more pressing matters than that!

Cassandra Wilson - Blue Light 'Till Dawn

Liked the little snippet I listened to well enough, looked it up, didn't recognize any names on it, but BlueNote has a pretty good track record, went shopping, bought the CD, arrived this afternoon, first spin now. Little JBLs playing, me listening off-axis, after a nice long nap.

Real players playing real instruments, manages to create "Live in the Studio" sound, released in 1993.

It isn't often someone here makes a sale. I'm not that easy a customer.

If you take $3.99 shipping into account it cost -$0.27, total $3.72 Prime and in VG condition.

Your music posts often mention Shazam now - didn't know what that was, just looked it up.

I wonder if they have this in their database:

My Audio Buddy John gigged (guitar) with the band for a while, has a copy of the master for Funky Thing in one piece before it got split in half to fit onto both sides of a '45.

I've contemplated getting the LSR308 for my living room as a 'why not' kind of toy.

They're designed for nearfield -- do you find them capable of filling a living room at midfield?

That's how I'm using them now. They are currently outboard of the main speakers.

I often forget whether I have the ML or the JBL playing, here at the desk, after switching, with my back to them. The visual tell is a red/green Zone1/Zone2 LED on the preamp.

Cassandra (above), a little louder than I was listening before, at the couch:

Yeh, I bought a ton of used CDs on Amazon for a few cents over shipping of $3.99. I think the shipping costs less than that and some of the profit is in there.

In all but one case or two, I got CDs that I could rip reliably.

Now I used Tidal and have stopped buying all CDs.
