Actually I thought about doing this because the Debut2.0 f6.2 sound amazing but they are too tall. I’d have to raise my tv up quite a bit which could be doable. You can't use another of the same speaker as l/r as center?

That would be the ideal generally to have the same speaker across the front. Instead of raising tv perhaps a different approach to placing center....Actually I wanted to do this because the Debut2.0 f6.2 sound amazing but they are too tall. I’m open to any ideas to see if we can make that possible. That would be the ideal generally to have the same speaker across the front. Instead of raising tv perhaps a different approach to placing center....
Off to one side would defeat the purpose, better to have a phantom center. Behind an acoustically transparent screen perhaps, a tv, no. Pic of your tv setup?I’m open to any ideas to see if we can make that possible.
Only way I can see doing that is either laying horizontal or off to one side of the tv. Or behind the tv which I believe would cover the tweeter.
I’m in the process of redoing my downstairs room. And more than likely will hang my tv on the wall.Off to one side would defeat the purpose, better to have a phantom center. Behind an acoustically transparent screen perhaps, a tv, no. Pic of your tv setup?
A center speaker on a stand below the tv and perhaps angled towards your ears could be the way to go....I’m in the process of redoing my downstairs room. And more than likely will hang my tv on the wall.
Right now nothing is set up except my tv and Xbox. And it will be moving to the other side of the room when it’s done.
The room is a 10’x21’ and the tv will be on the one of the ends with the 10’ wall.
A ELAC Debut2.0 F6.2 as a center?A center speaker on a stand below the tv and perhaps angled towards your ears could be the way to go....
That's what you mentioned for L/R speakers...so yes.A ELAC Debut2.0 F6.2 as a center?
Making sure we are thinking the same thing here.
Ok. That’s what I thought. I guess the speaker stand threw me off. Not sure what you meant honestly. That's what you mentioned for L/R speakers...so yes.
Stands are just a way to position the speaker....how do you have L/R speakers mounted/placed?Ok. That’s what I thought. I guess the speaker stand threw me off. Not sure what you meant honestly.
They are the floor standing speakers. So they will be sitting off to the side close to the outer wall.Stands are just a way to position the speaker....how do you have L/R speakers mounted/placed?
Thanks, for some reason was thinking it was a bookshelf. Raising a tv that high could be an issue indeed
Yeah lol. A bookshelf speaker is definitely doable under the tv when I get it all finished. Thanks, for some reason was thinking it was a bookshelf. Raising a tv that high could be an issue indeed
I'd look for a good horizontal three way center in that case....Yeah lol. A bookshelf speaker is definitely doable under the tv when I get it all finished.
Yeah that’s why I was trying to decide between the two ELAC’s.I'd look for a good horizontal three way center in that case....
Not into Elac model numbers obviously. I'd probably go with the concentric model for a center, thoYeah that’s why I was trying to decide between the two ELAC’s.
Debut2.0 C6.2
Uni-Fi2.0 uc52
Someone also just recommended getting a good bookshelf speaker too.
Here's the UnifiAre there any graphs for the Debut2.0 c6.2 like Erin has for the UC52?
Wanting to look at the horizontal dispersion.
Yeah. That’s what I was thinking. I just didn’t know how well it would mesh with my floor standing Debut F6.2.Here's the Unifi
And here's his review (well done IMHO) ELAC Uni-Fi 2.0 UC52 Center Channel Speaker Review - Erin's Audio Corner
Unfortunately I cannot find the same for the Debut2.0 c6.2 so far.
But believe me, just based on their design and described components (as well the typical doubling of the price) the ELAC Uni-Fi 2.0 UC52 is a class above the Debut2.0 c6.2; and were marketed and sold as that.
I'd be happy is someone came up with the other graph though.
