Celebrity RIP Thread

One of my favorite actors, brilliant in Superman 1 & 2, unforgettable in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and The Limey but better still in his first movie as the young seaman aboard a British ship of the line opposite Robert Ryan, Peter Ustinov and a young David McCallum in Billy Budd.

Great actor. Also liked him in "The Art Of The Steal". Coincidently, just rewatched it last week.

Hollywood stuntman Ronnie Rondell Jr, best known for being photographed engulfed in flames for Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here album, has died at the age of 88.

A care home in the US state of Missouri announced his death on August 12.

Rondell performed in numerous films and TV shows, including Star Trek, The Matrix Reloaded and Charlie's Angels.

In 1970 he co-founded the Stunts Unlimited talent agency to supply stunt performers for Hollywood films.

Poor Terrence. Remembered for those movies.

I was sad to see that he died when I opened the paper this morning. What a character.

According to ex-baseball players George Brett and Robin Yount, Mr. Uecker enjoyed eating frog legs.

A favorite restaurant kept frog legs on hand even though no one else ordered them.

EDIT - misspelled Uecker as 'Eucker' - oops

They comment after the 18:20 mark of the YouTube video of the celebration of Mr. Uecker's life before the ballgame in Milwaukee on Sunday, August 24, 2025:
