Cat News?

After 17 years of love and affection, I sadly said goodbye today to our farm cat Cookie. She enjoyed a full life of mousing and ratting and jumping after crickets. Here she is when she was still a kitten (tuxedo on the right) with her brother Crispy who predeceased her by 16 years (car accident). Thank you for letting me share your long life with us.
Awww snoozing kittehs! Sorry to read about your loss.

"Wait, water cats are real?"

Sadly lost my two many years ago and herself doesn't want to be responsible for more right now. In the meantime, we've become friends and fuss-givers of a small assortment of neighbour's feline friends, the latest of which named Oreo (absolutely colour matched) visits regularly for a huge fuss before going off doing what cats do (hunt and snooze :D )

We follow a floofball on Twitter and apparently it's 'Nipfest' this weekend (bank holiday in the UK), so a load of stoned kitties pictured all over the group (some 'hooman' is spending a lot of time composing pics of all the activities these kitties are getting up to. 'Sossage Sammies' for all, washed down with Nip Tea - or summat...

Here are my two rescue babies.

Gray Belle had been in the shelter for over 7 years without a single application for adoption (she's about 10), and Carrots a year and a half (he's about 3).

It has been so rewarding to watch them become happy and comfortable and affectionate members of my little family.

in other cat news pets , heatstroke , weather mostly over europe last , no week rather hot warm 27c 28c , its only now starting to settle down 20c , i noticed in my cats last , no night , climbing the walls they seemed so confused , no bad signs , just appeared confused and feeding them at least 3 times in few hours , Bear lapped a little water from fountain , Magic lapped only from the tap
so look out for your pets they don't or appear to understand it would be okay if they can verbally tell us ?

Our neighbor just adopted a cat. It promptly escaped and has been lost for the past two days.
The entire neighborhood mobilized. We were worried since there are lots of coyotes at night.
Before anything bad happened the kitty found the food in a cage-trap set in the field and is now back home.:D

My wife and daughter couldn't stand not having a cat and last week I caught 2 rats in the barn so say hello to Charlie View attachment 313746

I thought he had a stick of gum in his mouth!

Congratulations on the new addition. He's a handsome boy.
