Can't Decide on Amp. Nad, Rotel, Rega

I join the choir singing the song “fix your listening room first as good as money and wife allow, then buy the best, to your ear, speakers you can afford” - then and first then worry about a new amp-set. :)
Indeed.

The room, and how it interacts with speakers (at any price level) has orders of magnitude more impact on your sound then the difference even between budget and high end amps.

But massive amounts of room treatment may not be necessary and is often impractical. In rooms with sufficient soft furnishings (especially carpeted/rugged), active room correction will also bring huge benefits compared to amp differences.

So, basically you advocate to buy a fully furnished castle.. it’s not exactly the budget option ;)

Errr no. Just suggesting the listening room doesnt necessarily need lots of expensive and unsightly room correction.

I don’t know, this surely would qualify

:p

Problem is, buying ready to use stuff is the easiest thing to do. Measuring and fitting the room is the most complicated.
So buy equipment with automatic room correction.
