hi
i have few android smartphones , and i have installed aimp audio player and some internet radio players
now a friend of mine has borrowed/give to me a marantz MODEL 40n , beautiful amp and not cheap
I would like to play and test via bluetooth
should i take the smartphone bluetooth volume low , at 50% or at 100% ?
I don't want to damage her amp , she does care a lot ,and she likes to play only vinyls
since it's not mine amp and since i have read it should not damage an amp
may i ask you if a smartphone bluetooth volume could damage an amp?
thanks

Smartphone Bluetooth volume cannot damage an Amp any more than volume on any other type of digital audio input like Coax, USB, or Optical.

As long as you control the Amp's volume using its remote or front volume knob, you can safely set the smartphone to 100%.

As always when testing new equipment: set the Amp to 0% volume, start playing, then slowly raise the volume.

Hi
ok , the Bluetooth receiver in inside the amp
that's really wise to keep the amp volume at 0%
thanks

A "power blast" might hurt your speakers (or your ears) but it won't hurt the amplifier.

Hi
I don't want to go off topic
but can i ask you about smartphone bluetooth audio quality ?
I like more wifi connection , i'm using smartphone bluetooth just for some tests

There is a difference between Bluetooth codes, and between Android and Apple. It's a lot more complicated than "Android>Apple" though.

and about the android softwares and devices ?
The AAC coded can be slightly different between devices. Other codes usually perform the same.

Regarding software, I recommend USB Audio Player Pro for the best fidelity.
