Can I use an e50 with a subwoofer that has only one input channel

Hi in my office I have a pair of EDIFIER mr3 and now I have a spare subwoofer which is a bluesound sub+
This one only has one lfe input. I know that the e50 can output on rca & trs at the same time. Can I just connect one channel e.g. the right one rca to the subwoofer? Without knowledge I would think there would be some impedence mismatch or some other problem.
I know I can use a device like the minidsp flex but that seems excessively pricey compared to the speakers.

I would appreciate any good tip how I can do that best without investing too much!

Yes. No issues WRT impedance mismatch or otherwise.

Though if there's bass content in only the channel not connected to your sub, then that will not play. Fortunately, most content is mono at lower frequencies.

A 2x4HD would be a more appropriately priced solution if you want to do proper sub integration and room correction.

Do a search for a Rane note called "Why not Wye". It explains how to correctly combine 2 outputs with a modified Y cable

You can use something like this to sum the stereo output to mono.

Thanks a lot for the tip! I searched for some ready made stuff like that and found nothing. That is also available in Europe, thanks again

I just tried it out and it works well! Thank you!
