Thinking of using gated measurement for the treble

Looks pretty whack even below 5ms

So I repeated the test with tweeter 10kHz to 20kHz close mic vs 50cm

So it looks like my first reflections are at 1.5ms?

Can I even do gated with these results? I guess for 1kHz and higher only?

ADD: Oh lol, it's even worse with the back on against the wall while on a table: First tweeter reflection at 0.5ms

Where are you measuring this? Is there anywhere in your home you can keep the speakers roughly a few feet away from any large surface? You should be able to at least get 3-4ms if you measure from the center of a room and elevate the speaker some.

You didn't explain why you need gated measurement upward of 1kHz but you can't get it right while your speaker is sitting on the table. That relection that is app 1.5ms late from the direct sound (which equals to app 45cm longer signal path) is reflection from the table.

As @napilopez explained, you need to put your speaker on some kind of stand in the middle of the room so you don't get reflections from the sidewalls, ceiling and floor. Surface of the stand should ideally be smaller than the speaker's footprint so you don't get reflections from it.

You should measure at app 1 meter and set gate to 6-7ms. Use standard 20Hz-20kHz sweep.
