just to recap, this sorry thread has now gone from 'explain the vinyl renaissance to me', to a loop of 'vinyl sucks vs it's a preference', to vinylphiles creaming over particular new LP releases as if that meant something.

1. I always wonder why people seem flummoxed that extremely long threads tend to wander with all sorts of different input and angles on a topic. (insert "deal with it" meme).

2. It's a thread about the vinyl renaissance. Vinyl enthusiasts posting about enjoying vinyl and why IS part of that discussion.

It's amazing how posting any positive appraisals for vinyl seems to bother some people here.

And on that note:

Who the heck are these characters and where do you find this stuff.
I thought newspapers with the funny pages went out of business in the 1980s?

Calvin & Hobbes is just the greatest comic strip ever.
To tell y'all the truth, humor/comedy has never been much my thing.
Much of what works for me is either dark, vulgar, or something along that line.
I wouldn't ever spend my money to go see a comedic movie, the only ones
I can ever think of would be Cheech & Chong's.
I see the slight giggle thing in these C & H jokes but I wouldn't go looking
to find another, it's just "eh" for me.
Don't know why I'm like this? I just am?

I skip the C&H cartoon too. It's laborious.

Alas, I'm not a young person anymore. I'd still go for a "Don't blame me. I voted for Bill and Opus." shirt
I did have a coupla shirts back in the day and wore them out/destroyed them before realizing their value....but have done that with a variety of promotional tshirts over the years, too....kinda what they're for
