As for that, I've been in home and studio recording for decades, both as a musician and a technician, and I never ever I saw any relevant differences between gear in speed and pitch, even with the lowliest sound cards like early Soundblaster etc. The only explanation for gross error is wrong sample rate in some playback file and such, and truly defective devices.Usually they notice it when playing backing track on a cheap soundcard while recording with an audio interface, or when playing back on their soundcard after recording with an interface or USB mic. Or when collaborating with someone else using a different computer.
