FIRForge?
Coming up with good names is super hard! Does it have to be SomethingFIR? I mean FIR is just finite impulse response, quite generic and for example AutoFIR could just as well be the name of a convolver.
I was little bit too jumpy with this re-naming. This are my final canditates :

Another strawpoll

1. Auralign Auralign is advanced room correction tool designed for the precise alignment of acoustic responses. By automating the generation of high-precision FIR filters, it ensures that audio systems achieve perfect timing and tonal balance through advanced phase strategies.

2. Opis Audio Opis Audio is an advanced signal processing utility named after the mythical partner of Camilla, providing a bridge between technical excellence and acoustic support. It specializes in mastering the time domain through Temporal Decay Control (TDC), which actively dampens room resonances to deliver cleaner, more defined bass performance.

3. Vaste Vaste is a minimalist, high-performance filter engine named after the Finnish word for "response." It offers a comprehensive solution for converting acoustic measurements into universal convolution filters, utilizing intelligent algorithms like Adaptive Frequency-Dependent Windowing (A-FDW) to prevent over-correction and preserve the natural sound signature of your speakers.

The word “Opis” is audibly indistinguishable from the more common “opus” when spoken aloud. At least to this American english speaker. Unless is it “oh-peace”?

Interesting. So when you're saying "puss-puss-puss" to lure a cat, you're actually saying "piss-piss-piss"?

Yes, great in Finnish, but in most other languages (basically anything descending from proto-Indo-European) it implies a general notion of emptiness or largeness.

Auraline is best out of those three, but not great.

None of them are acceptable for googling purposes, needs widespread certainty in spelling at least in English

"Camilla’s [Opus] is a personal axe for a version of Camilla in Fire Emblem Heroes."

I thought this was being referenced.

Different question. Will support for full range come back? As I understand it version 4+ is deliberately limiting upper frequency to Schrödinger right?

You can correct at Advanced mode as high as you wan't with any version 3.2 --> . Over 1khz is always with 1/1 smoothing.
There is different limits to eq(FIR) and phase.

Automode stops approx Schrödinger.
Thats max freq is estimate of your room if you don't use programs own measurement function which calculates RT60 and Harmonic values and saves them in json-file.

IMO : If you correct way to high (400hz-->) you are starting to correct microphones position, not so much room.

Any suggestions? Sincerely : Name thinking boy '85
