EVO ONE

All-in-One Wireless Streaming Speaker

all in one audio in a box including speakers...

I wonder when the first reviews will start popping up on the internet.

What's the market like for these all in one systems which are like soundbars? Is it for very space limited people?

I’d say the market is aimed at the vast majority of folk who stare at a normal speaker set up and think WTF?, as I’ve mentioned before I am the only person I know who has a dedicated speaker set up.

Yeah I think we overlook/forget that this forum represents, I think, a tiny percentage of the actual consumer AV market.
I know one other person in real life who has a speaker setup (2 channel) and has it in his conservatory. I haven't actually heard it, but I'm guessing it sounds awful to be honest.
Most people won't look beyond an Amazon echo type device or Bluetooth speaker for music and the few who aren't happy with their TV speakers always go with a soundbar and wouldn't even consider a pair of bookshelf or standmount speakers.
I once had a friend ask me 'why don't you just move that big wooden box thing and put a lamp there'. The big wooden box was my subwoofer and I didn't even bother to explain, I just said that is where the big box must stay I'm afraid.

I am considering this for my tiny office space (~6m sq) in lieu of trying to fit anything else, and loathing the lack of treatments, etc.

Sure I am sacrificing an upgrade path, some soundstage, etc. but the frequency response is great for a room that would get overpowered by a sub, and where I just might not be able to get active studio monitors situated just right.

I'm still likely headed down the path of Turntable-->WiiM Ultra-->Kali IN-5 ...but the Cambridge Evo One is a distraction I can't ignore and is comparable as far as budget.

The new Bose Wave with streaming instead of a CD player?

Can get a Wiim Ultra, a Fosi ZA3, a couple of decent speakers and a subwoofer for half the price of this.
