Perhaps this is a conservatively rated NC122MP OEM. Hypex's own stats (below) generally are in alignment with the MXW70 specs, except Hypex does spec for 4 Ohm usage [in BTL]*. Perhaps CA decided to not spec that use case, play it conservative?

Output Power (2Ω): 2 x 115W, (BTL 2Ω is not supported)
Output Power (4Ω): 2 x 125W, (1 x 200W in BTL)
Output Power (8Ω): 2 x 75W (1 x 250W in BTL)

Aha! Would be keen to know. Hopefully we can get a sneak peek inside soon.

If it turns out to be the case, I guess the Audiophonics MPA-S125NC or MPA-S250NC would still offer better (or the same) value for less money?
