Hi,

I have Technics 1210GR with an Audio Technica VM740xML going into a Cambridge Audio Duo. This then connects to a MinDsp Flex RCA. Then, depending on how the mood takes me, I use either an Icon Audio Stereo 40 Mk4 or an SMSL HO200 with Fosi mono blocks.

The MiniDsp device console inputs 1 and 2 RMS meters with analogue selected show around-60 dBFS when using the SMSL / Fosi amp combination, but around -80dBFS when I'm using the Icon amp. Why is there a difference? I wasn't expecting the input value to change when I changed amplifier.
