Could use some help. Picked up one of these units. Great sound, great features. Very happy in that way. Unfortunately though it seems a bit glitchy. Here’s the gist:
1) The other night it went into protection mode. Nothing was playing but the volume was set on the higher side given the phono gain is low. It didn’t seem hot but there is a slight buzz coming from the tranny when I press my ear to the cage. Not sure if that’s related or if any of this is normal for the unit.
2) It doesn’t save presets unless they’re Favorites in the MusicCast app. That’s not a huge issue but still a head-scratcher.
3) With some iPhones (not all) it doesn’t stay connected to Bluetooth, dropping after 10 seconds or so unless something is playing. Again, not a big deal as it has Airplay anyway but perhaps another sign this unit could be a lemon?
Any opinions or better yet experience with this unit? If it’s defective I don’t want to miss the return window. Thanks!
