Hi everyone!
In advance, pardon for any inconveniences regarding my english.
I was thinking of pairing each of my Neumann kh 120II with a sub and then try calibrating them with the MA1 software. Of course, first I would align them manually (phase, crossover, volume etc. checking all with REW) so that they would "blend" together nicely.
DISCLAIMER, this is just an idea that crossed my mind, that is why I ask this beforehand. Maybe there is someone here who tried this and it works for him.
The general calibration is done via ethernet cables and the cal files are stored in the monitors.
1. Now, would the MA1 software recognize the sub and the monitor as ONE, meaning it would run the sine sweep for both the sub and monitor?
2. If yes, the cal file then stored in the speaker would only affect/benefit the monitors, and not the sub because of the crossover point and generally of the setup idea? Additional thought, that cal file would negatively impact the monitor because of the measured lowest lows?
3. Why two subs? My aim is not to "battle" room issues/modes, I do lots of content where low end is stereo (if that makes sense). Shortly, two subs or none.
