I am more confused with cables than I was when choosing a speaker or an amp!

want to upgrade to more reliable cables as the current ones were made by me and now just want a premade set in white.
amp is a Dark Audio P282 to LS50 Meta with only 1.5m length required.

is there any real difference between WBC Canare 4S1($130) or Nakamichi Excel Series 12AWG ($49.5)? heck i can even get this for $30 12AWG UCINNOVATE white cable

Thanks for any guidance

As long as all of those choices have copper conductors and properly installed plugs or lugs, feel free to go by price and/or cosmetics. IOW, there is no "real difference" in terms of performance.

From the late Roger Russell of McIntosh: pretty much all you need to know about Speaker Wire.

If you are running 12 gauge with no huge audio issues such as a channel going out a cable won't matter. 1.5 m? I take that back 16 gauge is all you need without looking it up. I expect 18 would have no issue audibly but others will chime in or I will check. If you spend over $20 you have spent too much. You will hear absolutely NO difference. Ordinary lamp cord of that gauge is maybe five bucks and also is transparent. Spend your big audio money elsewhere for better sound.

This is what I use but in 12 gauge due to long runs for a 7.1.4 setup. Pushing 300 watts through them. 14 gauge lamp cord just nutted on without banana plugs will do the same thing, with a bit more of a solid connection since it's not a push in friction hold but clamped down. https://a.co/d/4TcdYKA

In what way are your current cables unreliable?

I’m using 16 gauge Amazon basics wire with Amazon-sourced banana plus with my LS50 Metas and have zero issues.
I just did a bad job putting plugs on them and sounds cuts out sometimes if I move the cables. Also they are transparent coated and ugly haha.

Heh, those are both perfectly reasonable reasons to upgrade. Personally, I'd put the time into working out how to DIY it, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with buying something you like the look of that's likely to be well manufactured. Just so long as you don't think it's going to improve the sound quality (over and above the loose connections :)).

Well that's a easy fix, new ends or new cables. I spent a bit extra for premade just for looks and still was cheap.
