Budget subwoofers JBL 550p vs INFINITY R12

These subs are often on sale for 189 vs 169. The JBL is sealed 10 inch, the INFINITY is ported 12 inch. Both 300 watt amp. Has anyone tried either or both and have an opinion on better value? Would a couple of these be better than a SVS if not worried about sub 20 hz? Thanks

I have two of the R12, effective to @23hz says ARC works well for me with the R263 but they are big pieces of furniture if that's a concern.
