Budget DAC Review: behringer UMC204HD

It depends. I use one with a Tivoli Audio Model 2 radio and that has a quite high input sensitivity. So it is much happier with the Behringer than with a 2V DAC. In fact, there is quite a lot of gear that is not happy with the Red Book 2V input level.

If one run into such a problem, would it be enough to reduce the level of the output signal on the PC? As I have now bought an SMSL SU 1 DAC which does not offer any setting options.

Sure but that would also technically reduce quality.

Sorry if this has already been covered, but if this is usb powered, can it still output 2V for all its rca outputs? Or it's only 1V?

Also the output level from this DAC is anemic which may cause you to not be able to play as loud.
