Buckeye Nc502mp Review (6 Channel Amplifer)

The 8 channel photo looks wrong, am I right? Is the same chassis as the 6 channel, 17 in wide, yes?

This would be my second buckeye. And the reason I would buy a second is exactly that these kinds of questions get answered by the manufacturer.

If I wanted to be a fan boy and buy unresearched, I would be getting a Spectral amp for $4k.

Yeah, it's important that you research possible chassis width inconsistencies in product images.

I didn't catch that but thank you. That probably explains the different photo. And yeah 2 inches will make a difference in my cabinet so I'm very glad I asked.

The problem with Buckeye is that they don't ship outside the US...

The height matters because I have limited space and want to fit fans. @Buckeye Amps do you recommend the fans on top or bottom where the heat sinks are?

If using active cooling, fans on top drawing air out. The AC infinity aircom unit is my recommendation

We ship worldwide

No matter what I try, either the Google Pay tells me that the service isn't available at my location or I get this invalid address error. Also, I couldn't find any info about shipping costs, nor I was able to select the shipping method (it remains greyed out).

BTW, is there a reason for not including an EMI/RF filter on the IEC power socket like some other Hypex-based amps brands do (VTV amp for example). I remember reading somewhere that the Hypex modules such as the NC502MP already includes such filter but I just can't seem to find it now.

I'm currently looking for a 3-channel power amp solution and can't decide between the VTV 3-channel Hypex NC502MP/NC500MP combo or the Buckeye dual NC502MP 4-channel amp (I may need the extra 4th channel in the future to power either a voice of god or a single surround back channel).

I also noted that the Buckeye uses a flat ribbon cable for the input signal interconnects, while the VTV uses shielded cables. Is this an issue?

It would be nice to get more info about the builds.

Clearly, the Buckeye looks more neat and solid built inside than the VTV. Also, the modules look different (newer revisions?).

Bruno Putzeys advised NOT to filer the ac input with y capacitors, which VTV does.

The error message should say so to avoid missing sales.

It's a Google message though, right? Not something the seller has control over usually.
